Shabba on target as Amakhosi win

Siphiwe Tshabalala opened the second half of the Absa Premiership with a goal for Kaizer Chiefs as they demolished Free State Stars 3-1.

The return of the PSL games was a relief for soccer supporters after a long break in local football. ON Tuesday evening Chiefs took on Stars at the FNB Stadium. Shabba got a chance at goal through a dead ball situation and he made use of it, starting the goal frenzy.

Team mate Bernard Parker then scored after a rebound from the penalty spot after 30 minutes of the match. Willard Katsande then finished off the match in the 64th minute making it 3-0. Stars pulled one back through Rooi Mahamutsa but it was too late to spark any form of come back.

Amakhosi are now on point away from the top with the teams above Amakhosi having games in hand.
