Shabba and Chiefs on to the next one

Siphiwe Tahabalala says that Kaizer Chiefs have already forgotten about the Soweto derby victory and now focus on the next game.

Shabba had a one on one interview with his website admin and he discussed the feeling after claiming a win against rivals Pirates and how he sees the road going forward.

Admin: How are you doing Shabba?
Siphiwe Tshabalala: I am well, thank you for asking.

Admin: So tell us about the feeling of winning the derby.
Shabba: It feels great hey. Look winning always feels good regardless of who you play against. It’s just that the derby is a big match and I think we did well and the better team won at the end of the day. I am just happy it was us.

Admin: The goal that you scored, does it mean a lot especially because it was assisted by Bernard Parker who recently returned from injury?
Shabba: Well it is great that he has returned and is playing good football. The assist and the goal is all for the team. It does not really count much who supplies or scores the goal. The team plays and moves as a unit, it was because of all the hard work the players did that we won that match and all other matches before the derby.

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????Admin: The confidence of the players in the team, it must be high?
Shabba: Yes we are confident and that plays a big part in driving us to want to achieve more and continue playing well.

Admin: The team is leading the table by 13 points and no loss yet.
Shabba: That is the difficult part. The more you win games, the harder it gets for us to firstly keep the record going and to keep performing. There is a lot of pressure but we do our best to deliver. The nice part is that it also makes it difficult for other teams to try and catch up.

Admin: Next on the plate is Platinum Stars. Is it a difficult one?
Shabba: Yes it is definitely a tough fixture. We want to do well against Stars and it is always an unpredictable fixture. They win as much as we do so no one knows how difficult it is until we play. The plan is to do our best and follow the coaches’ plans.

Admin: Three points against Stars on Tuesday?
Shabba: I do not know the future but we would love to get three points. Again it is a tough one but we will see what happens. One match at a time.
