Kaizer Chiefs skipper and Bafana Bafana international player Siphiwe Tshabalala says Kaizer Chiefs showed character when they took on Mpumalanga Black Aces during the weekend in the Telkom Knockout quarter-final.

“We showed character and I think that the team played well. From the first whistle we showed intent and it helped to stutter the opponents. We came out of the blocks running and all fell into place during the game.

“The goal they scored was because for a few minutes in the second half we had a lot of chances and did not make use of them. When you waste chances in football, you get punished. This is something that the team will work on in order to improve and take it to other competitions as well. But we take the results and move forward,” concluded Shabba.
