Shabba: It is too early to panic
Siphiwe Tshabalala says the 2015/2016 Absa Premiership race is still an unwritten book as only five matches have been played by all teams thus far.
Kaizer Chiefs have only managed to win two matches and drew the rest out of the five. They recently failed to beat the University of Pretoria after leading the team in the first half. This sees them positioned fifth on the log table, a complete opposite of the 2014/2015 season results. Despite the difference the Chiefs skipper feels it is too early to panic.
“Yes this time around we did not start as good as we did last season. But this does not mean we are doing badly. We still have a long way to go before the end of the season. The team is working hard to get positive results and they will definitely come,” Shabba said.
Amakhosi have nine points from a possible fifteen. Their next fixture will see them face Ajax Cape Town, a team that beat them in the MTN 8 final last week. The fixture will take place at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday 26, with the kick-off being at 20:15.
