Siphiwe Tshabalala says that the team has welcomed newly appointed head coach Steve Komphela and personally feels that he is capable of doing a great job.

Komphela was named as the Kaizer Chiefs new head coach last week in a conference held by the team. The former Maritzburg coach held his first training session with the team on Saturday.

“Look it is great that we have Steve Komphela as our new coach. We have welcomed him just as we would to any new member of the family. He is an experienced coach and will help us continue with our journey.

I think that he will do well because we also want to do our best at all times. It is nothing new to see a coach come in, it is part of football and these things happen. All I can say is that we are professionals and are still confident that we can have another great season ahead of us,” Shabba said.
