Shabba: All out for three points
Siphiwe Tshabalala has confirmed that Kaizer Chiefs will be going for the jugular vein when they take on rivals Orlando Pirates in the prestigious Soweto derby on Saturday.
The Chiefs winger has vowed to give his best to help his team mates’ secure three points that could see them extend their lead to 13 points, should Bidvest Wits slip up in their match against Bloemfontein Celtic the night before.
“The derby is always a tough match regardless of the type of competition. We are expecting a very tactical yet open game. We want to win the match and are confident that we can achieve that goal if all goes according to the plan.
We have a squad that is close to its full strength with a lot of players returning from injury including our goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune. So the coach will have a lot of options when it comes to choosing the right players for the mission. Let the best team win,” concluded Shabba.
The much anticipated match is scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon at the FNB Stadium. The venue is expected to host more than 90 000 spectators with tickets flying out of the shelves. Kick-off is set for 15:30.
