Tshabalala: Back to work
Siphiwe Tshabalala says Kaizer Chiefs have accepted their sudden exit in the Telkom Knockout and now have turned their focus back to the Absa Premier League.
Amakhosi exited the TKO in the hands of defending champions Platinum Stars through a penalty shootout. The Kaizer Chiefs winger insists that they have moved on from the loss and are focused on the job at hand.
“The Telkom Knockout loss is now history. We have moved on from that and we have our eye on the match against AmaZulu. We need three points and that is what is on our heads currently. We have a job to do and it is back to work,” Tshabalala said.
Shabba added the fact that they also drew against Moroka Swallows in their last league match and need to keep their foot on the paddle to keep pressure on other teams.
He said: “We drew against Moroka Swallows and dropped two points. This means that the other teams have gained some form of advantage. We need to get back to our winning form so that the pressure keeps building for those that are following.”
The boys from Naturena travel to the Moses Mabhida Stadium to face AmaZulu on Wednesday. The fixture is scheduled for a 19:30 kick-off.
