Shabba: It feels good to be back
Siphiwe Tshabalala has expressed his delight of getting back to his match fitness level after playing the entire 90 minutes against Ajax Cape Town on Sunday.
Shabba returned from a knee injury that saw him miss a few games in the beginning of the season but has made a full recovery. His 90 minutes performance against Ajax Cape Town confirmed his return and earned him a PSL man of the match award.
“It feels great to be performing well. I think the aim was for me to o all that I can to help the team achieve positive results. I have been slowly making sure that I work on my match fitness since returning from the injury. I received my chance to play on Sunday and I did just that,” Shabba said.
The speedy winger also praised his team mates for supporting him and says that it is not about individual players but a team effort instead.
“The win against Ajax was a team effort and so as all the other victories before that. It is not about individual players. We work together to achieve the desired results. So thanks to my team mates and the technical staff we are able to do our jobs,” concluded Shabba.
