Shabba: We are prepared for Ajax
The Absa Premiership is back and it is that when we have to shift our minds back to the challenge of the league title race.
As early as it may seem, it is important that we take it a game at a time. The aim is to keep improving and making it over the obstacles we encounter on the way. We return with a trip to Cape Town to face the unpredictable Ajax Cape Town.
The country and the world at large will be waiting to see if the winning streak of seven games will be disturbed. The supporters are expecting a good clash between us and the Urban Warriors. I should say that they will not be disappointed.
It is a top of the table clash as Ajax are second, trailing behind us by just seven points. They have been doing well in their past five matches. They have recorded three wins, a draw and a loss. That is ten points from a possible fifteen.
Last season we shared three points from the two fixtures we played. Ajax defeated us 1-0 in the first fixture before we returned the favor with a 2-0 victory.
Out of all 24 matches both teams have played they have managed to steal five wins compared to a staggering eleven victories by us, with the remaining eight finishing as stale mates.
We have prepared well for them and are going to see to it that we return home with nothing but three points. We believe that we can do it. Forever fearless are AmaKhosi!
