Shabba lauds Amakhosi duo
Kaizer Chiefs star Siphiwe Tshabalala has heaped praise on Reneilwe Letsolonyane and Mandla Masango for the duo’s impressive early-season form.
Letsolonyane was on target on Wednesday night as Chiefs beat Black Aces 2-1 to make it three wins on the spin.
The Bafana Bafana international has looked on top of his game since his man-of-the-match display during the 4-0 thrashing on Black Aces in the MTN8 quarterfinal two weeks ago.
“I am happy for Letsolonyane, who is doing well for the team and himself,” said Shabba. “He is helping us by doing his job like the rest of the players and as a result the team is producing positive results.
“Yeye is a good player and is showing it on the field of play. He is also scoring goals. He needs to keep the momentum going and when the end of the season comes, we will be seeing the desired results.”
Another player Shabba is tipping to make an impact for Amakhosi this season and finally seize his opportunity after finding himself on the fringes of the first-team in previous campaigns is Masango.
The 25-year-old grabbed a brace in the MTN8 quarter-final against Clive Barker’s men. He took his tally for the season to three with another goal against the same opponents on Wednesday night in a man-of-the-match display.
“Masango must also be congratulated for starting the season in such tremendous form,” said Shabba. “He has been waiting long to get a chance to play and now he is using it.
“He is one to look out for in the current season and I wish him good luck for the rest of the season.”
