Shabba hails Mthembu capture
Siphiwe Tshabalala believes new signing Siphelele Mthembu could be a key player for Kaizer Chiefs during the upcoming season.
The 27-year-old signed a three-year deal at Naturena from Platinum Stars as coach Stuart Baxter bolstered his attacking options.
Shabba is excited by the new addition to the squad and is backing the experienced forward to prove his worth and help Chiefs reclaim the title they surrendered to Sundowns last season.
“Mthembu is a good player and I think he will add value to the Kaizer Chiefs family. He is strong and has the physical presence of a striker. This will definitely help us in our mission to reclaim the glory. He will be the weapon in our arsenal,” said Tshabalala.
“He has a lot of experience and I think now that he is wearing the gold and black jersey he will be confident. We have trained with the player and I already see a determined and hungry player in him. I welcome him and wish him the best.”
