Khune lauds natural leader Shabba
Itumeleng Khune has paid tribute to his Kaizer Chiefs team-mate Siphiwe Tshabalala and says there is more to the winger than his silky skills on the pitch.
Khune, who labelled Shabba “a true professional,” praised the playmaker for his contribution on the pitch and his influence in the dressing room.
Tshabalala has been a consistent performer for Chiefs since joining the club back in January 2007 from Free State Stars FC. He has more than 200 appearances for AmaKhosi, and does not only have a knack for scoring spectacular goals, but also creates them for his team-mates.
“If you talk about a true professional, you are talking about ‘Shabba’. He respects his game so much at all times. It doesn’t matter whether he is playing or not, he gives 100% in everything he does concerning the game,” Khune told SoccerLaduma.
“He adds to the dressing room with his singing. He leads team songs, both at club and national team level. He always takes the lead.”
