Laduma nomination an honour
Siphiwe Tshabalala of Kaizer Chiefs has had an amazing 2013/2014 Absa Premiership season at the Naturena camp having been part of the team that has displayed a good brand of football locally and in Africa alike.
His speedy and creative play has caught the eye of media house Soccer Laduma and sees him being nominated for the Laduma Reader’s 2013/2014 Player of the Season.
He has been nominated as part of the top three midfield players along with team mate Willard Katsande and the classy Ajax Cape Town midfielder Keagan Dolly.
“I am happy to have been nominated for the Laduma Player of the Season. It is truly an honor to see my name among the few on-form midfielders this season. I have worked hard and it has been tough for me,” Tshabalala said.
“What I am proud of is the fact that the supporters along with the football fraternity have realized the impact I have made in the team. I am glad that I am contributing positively to the team. I think through hard work and discipline I have managed to be the player that everyone wants to see on the field.
“It does not matter if I receive the award or not because there are good players that have been nominated along with me. Willard Katsande is one of them; he is a great player and has indeed had a good season.
“Keagan Dolly has bloomed to be what South African football needs as well. So if any of these players win, it is a true reflection of our improving football,” concluded Shabba.
