Chiefs look to increase PSL lead

Kaizer Chiefs will travel to Pretoria on Tuesday evening in attempt to stretch the lead they have at the top of the table.

Chiefs are ahead by ten points after 25 matches. They have won 17games, lost just two and have drawn six. They will be taking on University of Pretoria at the Tuks Stadium on Tuesday evening.

When both teams met in the first round Chiefs walked away with three points defeating AmaTuks 2-1 at the FNB Stadium. Reneilwe Letsolonyane was the hero of the day with a brace that saw cancelled Geoffrey Massa’s 50th minute goal.

Kaizer Chiefs have had a busy schedule and were unfortunately knocked out of the CAF Champions League and the Nedbank Cup recently. They have better luck in the league as they have collected ten points from a possible fifteen in the last five matches. They command a ten point’s lead and can improve it at the expense of AmaTuks.

On the other hand University of Pretoria will be looking to pull an upset when they take on the Glamour Boys. The Pretoria based side has only once beaten Chiefs and it was back in the 2013 season when they won by an odd goal to nil in their home ground.

Out of the last five outings Steve Barker’s men collected seven points from a possible fifteen.

It will be top versus bottom of the table clash. The venue is the Tuks Stadium with the kick-off set for 19:30.
