Shabba: A point and we move on

Siphiwe Tshabalala has accepted the results from their weekend match against Orlando Pirates and says they are happy to take a point and soldier forward.

The Soweto derby left the spectator with no goals to celebrate as both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates could not find the back of the net. Shabba says the tough fixture was deserving of a draw because it was a two sided match. Yet he insists that the results were better than that of a loss.

“It was a tough match with both sides trying their best to overcome the other. Ultimately no one could lend the finishing touch. Despite of the fact that we would have loved to take all the points home, the draw is a result we can live with.

We are now focused on the next fixture against Maritzburg United on Wednesday. Steve Komphela’s side is another challenge that needs attention. It will not be easy to outsmart them at home. But the team is playing well and we are slowly building great momentum. The quest for glory continues,” says Shabba.
